Position: Camp Director-Camp Aurora

Starting Salary: DOE

Position Duties: The Director of Camp Aurora will assist in the planning, development, and implementation of all facets of Camp Aurora. Responsibilities include program planning, supervising staff and campers, and providing for a safe, healthy, and fun camp environment.

Minimum Qualifications: Education and Experience: Must be at least 21 years old. Bachelor’s degree, prefer field related to deafness, education, outdoor recreation, or social work. Require a minimum of one-year administrative and supervisory experience, one-year experience in youth programming, and six months experience in camping and/or outdoor programming.

Communication Skills: Must possess ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form. Must possess ability to interact effectively with consumer, family, agency personnel and public. Must be fluent in American Sign Language.

Equipment: Vehicle.

Certifications and Clearances: Valid driver's license; proof of auto insurance, clean driving record, background check, TB test, current First Aid, CPR, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification.

Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the philosophy of Camp Aurora.
