Autism 202: Day to Day Functions

Statewide via teleconferencing Thursday, 11/ 20, 5:30-7:30pm

3501 Denali, Anchorage

SESA and the AARC (Alaska Autism Resource Center) are pleased to offer this series in Alaska free of charge. Access to video teleconferencing equipment, such as Polycom, and to an Internet connection (SESA uses GCI\'s SchoolAccess, using a router to connect to a partial T1 line) should be arranged. Many rural school districts have this type of equipment, as do some other sites. Please follow your district or agency procedures to schedule the video teleconference with your service provider. We will begin set-up at 5:15 pm to allow for possible connection issues. SESA-AARC will do a brief introduction starting around 5:30. Alaskans will be connected to one bridge, and then we will connect as a group to Seattle Children\'s Hospital. Local Anchorage participants are welcome to attend at SESA\'s Anchorage Office: 3501 Denali in the Boardroom. NOTE: SESA\'s Board Room will only hold about 20-25 people. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Participants may also teleconference in by dialing 1-888-254-2858 and requesting to join the SESA Autism 201 Class conference. It will be audio only so you will need to mute your phone. There will be a limit of 10 telephone connections. You may want to get a group together and use a speakerphone. If you are not able to participate during this time, or if you don\'t have access to the equipment, Seattle Children\'s Hospital will be recording the presentation. Please contact Chris Wong (chris.wong@seattlechildrens.org) to get a copy.
